Continental Knitting

Join us as we teach Continental or the German style of knitting.  This workshop is designed for people who already know how to knit English style and wish to learn the continental technique for faster knitting in the round or for knitting 2 color work with both hands.  

In this workshop you will learn:

1.  The history of continental knitting
2.  Uses for this technique
3.  The knit and purl
4.  2 color knitting using both continental and english style together

Please bring 2 contrasting colors of yarn (you can use from your scrap yarn, about 100 yards each color in the same weight yarn) and a 16 inch circular needle to support the weight yarn you selected.

Skill Level: intermediate
Skill Details: You are expected to already know how to knit English style. This is not a beginner class.
Requirements: Please bring 2 balls of yarn in contrasting colors and a 16" circular needle in the appropriate size to support the yarn weight.
Instructor: Alison
Instructor Bio: Alison is a lifelong knitter and the owner of Yarn's End. She likes to teach practical workshops that are useful for students wishing to advance their knitting skills.
